Fabre Resigns

Hereby I, Jan Fabre, resign as the curator of the Hellenic Festival. I accepted a mandate from the Minister of Culture of Greece to make in all freedom artistic choices. This seems no longer to be possible in Greece. I do not want to work in a hostile artistic environment to which I came with open mind and open heart. I wish the Greek artists good luck with their work and their Festival.

This festival has always been a lifeline for Greek artists. Then this asshole comes along and says all the locals will have to buy tickets to bask in his greatness. No, a self aggrandizing moron, a bloviating fool, a coke head creep, Fabre's asshole status transcends mere nationality.

The last director of this festival was a Greek guy who also directed the ballet of the opera at Lyon, Georges Loukos. No one could accuse Loukos of nepotism toward Greek artists there. He is also credited with making the festival a great source of encouragement to new and experimental Greek artists.
